INDICATIONS
R-Tanna is an antihistamine and decongestant combination used to relieve congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes due to colds, flu, or hay fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
 
DIRECTIONS
Follow the directions for using R-Tannas Pediatric Suspension provided by your doctor or on the package. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Use a measuring device marked for medicine dosing. Ask your pharmacist for help if you are unsure of how to measure this dose. Shake well before taking a dose. This medicine may be taken with food if it upsets your stomach.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
SIDE EFFECTS
May cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. May cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, any allergies (especially drug allergies). Do not drink alcoholic beverages. Do not give this medication to a child younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by a doctor. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to its side effects, especially dizziness and drowsiness. This drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
OVERDOSAGE
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

Do not share this product with others. Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and pets.

DRUG INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor what medications you take, especially of: high blood pressure drugs, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy medication. Do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
