INDICATIONS
Colace is used for prevention of dry, hard stools.
INGREDIENTS
Active Ingredients:each capsule contains: Docusate Sodium (50 mg).
Inactive Ingredients:Polyethylene Glycol 400, Gelatin, Glycerine, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, FD&C Red #40, D&C Red #33.
DIRECTIONS
Adults and children 12 years and older: 1 to 4 capsules
Children 6 to 12 years old: 1 to 2 capsules
The highest dose should be taken until the first bowel movement; thereafter, a lower dose should be taken for maintenance. The effect of Colace on the stools may not be apparent until 1 to 3 days after the first oral dose.
