INDICATIONS
Alka-seltzer plus is a PPA free. Provides temporary relief of these major symptoms of colds and flu: headache, body aches, sore throat, fever, sneezing, coughing, and runny nose.
INGREDIENTS
Active Ingredients:Aspring 500 mg(Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer), Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg(Antihistamine), Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 15 mg(Cough Suppressant).
Inactive Ingredients:Acesulfame Potassium, Aspartame, Citric Acid, Dimethicone, Docusate Sodium, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Yellow #6, Flavors, Povidone, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Saccharin.
DIRECTIONS
Do not exceed recommended dosage. Do not take for more than 7 days for pain or for fever for more than 3 days unless directed by a doctor. Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 2 tablets every 6 hours fully dissolved in 4 oz of water, or as directed by a doctor. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 12 years: Consult a doctor.
WARNINGS
Reye's syndrome: Children and tenagers shoud not use this medicine for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to lbe associated with aspirin.
Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you shoud take aspirin or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Aspirin may cause stomach bleeding.
