INDICATIONS
Lidazone HC is a topical anesthetic and anti-inflammatory combination used to treat inflammation, itching, and discomfort associated with rectal conditions such as hemorrhoids. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
 
 
DIRECTIONS
Follow the directions for using Lidazone HC Cream provided by your doctor. Lidazone HC Cream is to be applied to the rectal area. Use a new applicator with each use and dispose of the used applicator properly. Do not completely the applicator and tube into the anus or deep into the rectum. Do not a loose applicator tip into the anus or rectum. Wash your hands after using this medicine. If the affected area does not improve, your doctor may have you cover the affected area with gauze or a bandage after applying this medicine. Store this medicine at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C), away from heat and light.
MISSED DOSE:If you miss a dose of this medicine and you are using it regularly, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
SIDE EFFECTS
That may occur while using this medicine include redness or swelling, temporary stinging or burning, temporary lightening of the skin at the application site. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Check with your doctor as soon as possible if you experience continued irritation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS
Do not take this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to it or to other similar local anesthetics or any ingredient in this product. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, check with your doctor. Do not use this medicine for other skin conditions at a later time. Do not get this medicine in your eyes, mouth, nose, or ears. If you develop an infection in the affected area, discontinue using this medicine and check with your doctor for appropriate treatment for the infection. Though very unlikely, it is possible this medicine will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for children and for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. This precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this medicine. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Caution is advised when using this medicine in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine. For women: if you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. This medicine is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
OVERDOSAGE
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and pets.
