INDICATIONS
Sensorcaine(BUPIVACAINE) is a local anesthetic used to cause loss of feeling during dental or surgical procedures, labor, or delivery. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
 
DIRECTIONS
Sensorcaine(BUPIVACAINE) is usually administered as an injection at your doctor's office, hospital, or clinic. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. Store this medicine at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light.
SIDE EFFECTS
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if you experience numbness that lasts for more than a few hours, dizziness, drowsiness or excitement, tremors, restlessness, changes in hearing, blurred vision, hives, rash, or itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS
Give the healthcare professional a list of all medicines that you are currently taking before receiving the injection. If you are going home before the numbness wears off, protect the treated area from injury until you regain feeling. If you received this medicine for a dental procedure, do not chew gum or eat until the feeling comes back. Also be careful not to bite your tongue or the inside of your mouth. This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. Do not drives, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.
For women: this medicine is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
OVERDOSAGE
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include seizures, shortness of breath, and slow heartbeat.
INFORMATION
Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
